Looking for someone who really understands you?
Daniel Edens; M. Ed., LPC, LMHC
The best therapy empowers you to be honest and open about who you are and who you desire to be. There is no judgement, only curiosity and safety to explore your life and how to make it even better. Therapy has always been a safe place for me and I work hard in our sessions to bring that same experience to you.
I may be a bit biased, but I believe therapy can be one of the best helping hands to completing our goals, exploring valuable self-care techniques, and reaching new heights of understanding who you really are and who you want to be.
I work with adult individuals and couples in the 2SLGBTQIA+ Community, people with various forms of neurodivergence- ADHD/AuDHD/ASD, helping to resolve issues and empowering change for trauma recovery, religious deconstruction, life transitions, depression, anxiety, existential crises, identity struggles, relationship co-regulation, sexual health, and more.
My counseling style is direct and inquisitive, but I love to interject light-hearted humor and fun in session when possible. You will always be treated carefully and with awareness of your needs and desires as an individual. Every person is different, and therefore, our sessions will be catered to who you are and what works best for you. I welcome individuals of all walks of life and hold a non-judgmental and empathetic space for all people to safely and comfortably explore who they are and what they need.
Counseling under my care is person-centered, holistic, and will strive to bring you balance and peace. Together we will work so you can self-regulate, become mindful of your wants and needs, and gain even greater confidence. My goal is to help you be the best version of yourself so you can leave therapy happy with who you are and confident in your continued growth and future goals.
Outside of work, I am most likely at home with my partner, Jessa, and dogs, Nugget and Clover. I can typically be found playing board games, running D&D, cooking, or hiking on a forest trail. I love having people over and introducing them to new nerdy mediums or creative outlets. I love going out to find the secrets that Washington has to offer and exploring!
