Offered Services
Functional & Integrative MedicineFunctional and Integrative Medicine focuses on the root of illness and treats a person as an individual holistically: seeing them as a complex being with physical, spiritual, social, intellectual, and emotional needs. Sometimes physical pain is rooted in emotional wounds. Mood issues often have strong correlation to gut health. In this way, functional medicine seeks to find the underlying cause of disease.
Depending on your needs and goals, lifestyle coaching and suggestions will be given in order to improve your treatment outcomes. This may include nutritional education, exercises or stretches, mindfulness and meditation practices, and somatic therapy techniques. We pride ourselves on being a wealth of information in all things related to health and wellbeing! |
Acupuncture TherapyFor those looking to improve their stress response or seek pain resolution/management we highly recommend acupuncture therapy. Based on what your goals are, we will pick personalized treatment strategies that have either been classically indicated or have been study-proved to help with your complaint.
Most people find that acupuncture is a highly relaxing treatment, despite the fact that it uses needles. This is because we use very small needles: about the size of a hair, in order to activate the nervous system's rest and digest response. Treatment with acupuncture can cause feelings of euphoria, deep relaxation, and can often create huge improvements in pain, anxiety, and stress response. |
Tuina BodyworkTuina (pronounced Twee-nah) is believed to be the oldest form of bodywork. Tuina stimulates the flow of lymph and blood in order to bring the body into peak performance and function.
Techniques include passive and active stretching of joints and muscles, soft-tissue manipulation to remove knots, tension, and blockages, and gentle re-centering of posture to improve longevity, manage and subdue pain and tension. Every session with us includes bodywork for relaxation, postural improvement, and pain management. Every session is catered to each individual's needs and desired outcomes. If you like massage, you will love bodywork! |
